Hockey Spitfires Raise CRC Awareness

The Windsor Spitfires are getting involved in promoting colorectal cancer screening this month.

Teaming up with the Erie St. Clair Regional Cancer Program in Ontario, pharmacists will be at Spitfire games on March 4, 7, and 11 to provide information and free take-home colorectal cancer screening kits.

Jumbotron messages from Spits General Manager Warren Rychel will encourage fans to “get checked”.

Funds for local cancer programs will be raised during a silent auction for one of the special colon check jerseys that the team will be wearing during Colon Cancer Awareness Month. Continue reading…
